November & December 2009 Real Estate Sales

The Spartanburg county real estate market is hot with the expiration and then extension of the first time home buyer tax credit. Leave it to the politicians to never be able to say yes to fiscal responsibility, huh! The tax credit has been a boom to the real estate market which in turn has had a positive impact on the economy. Let’s Hope our economy soon stands on it’s own without the government assistance it has received from housing and car sales to keep GDP looking good.
My real estate marketing program is back in full swing after a 5 1/2 month layoff from the profession . The month of November through December 8th has seen me close 7 sales. Here is the breakdown in order:
1) Residential Lot – Greenville, SC
2) Single Family Home – Boiling Springs, SC
3) Single Family Home – Greer, SC
4) Single Family Home – Inman, SC
5) SW Mobile Home – Inman, SC
6) Single Family Home – Boiling Springs, SC
7) Single Family Home – Boiling Springs, SC
I am looking at closing at least 1 more before the Christmas holiday for a total of 8 and having 2 additional under contract soon that are scheduled to close in early 2010!
I add this here not to impress you but to impress upon you that Realtors are NOT created equally. If an agent is trying to get your business by saying that their company is the #1 company in the area then run, run, run!!! It is not companies that sell real estate. It is agents that sell real estate. It is not any agent that sells real estate, it is agents that are able to employ proven marketing principles. The same principles and tactics used by consumer product giants like Proctor & Gamble, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson. These companies invest hundreds of thousands of dollars on some product launches that all use basic marketing principles that generate success. Shouldn’t one of your largest assets be managed with these same principles and tactics?
